Greetings From Lake Tahoe

Midweek we headed up Highway 50 to South Lake Tahoe
a two hour trip there, two hours back.
It is a great day trip destination,
especially when It is 100 degrees in the valley and only 83 degrees at the lake.

We planned a picnic at Pope Beach (above);
however, the yellow jackets were as thick as flies,
so we ate our lunch on the run.
Our picnic was not the highlight of our day, anyway.
The highlight was enjoying a beautiful day as a family.

  1. Thanks for sharing, Hope...looks to be a nice day, regardless of the yellow jackets. smiles

  2. Oh Hope!
What a lovely day you must have had!
Darn those bees anyway! ; )
It looks beautiful, as do you, my friend.
Blessings for a cooler, cozy week,

  3. What a lovely place Lake Tahoe looks. So sorry those pesky pests spoilt your picnic.

  4. What great fun, my friend! Though I am sorry about the yellow jackets. I must confess that I giggled when you said you ate your lunch on the run as it painted a silly picture in my mind :)

Thinking of you, dear Hope! Love and hugs!

  5. Oh what a lovely day, and a beautiful place to spend it! Loved the picture of you! Such a pretty day that you must have had, and I understand about those terrible yellow jackets... they can really gang up on you, lol!

  6. Sounds like and looks like a beautiful day--minus those pesky bees!

  7. Glad you had a great time with your family ♥

  8. Hi Hope, being together as a family is the best part of the day. Lovely photo. Have a great weekend and blessings to you. xo

  9. That sounds wonderfully lovely, dear Hope. I agree so much that days like that are about time with loved ones first and foremost above all else. Most meals will fade from memories over the years, but memories created with people you cherish may last a lifetime.

Many hugs & happy wishes for the start of September,
    ♥ Jessica
