Happy New Year!

Hello lovely people,
Wow - a new year!
The holidays slipped by too quickly.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

During my Holiday break, I sewed several skirts and dresses.
This skirt is a1950s Butterick 6858 circle skirt pattern.
I love it and am making several more skirts from this pattern.

The red dress I made for Christmas...

The blue dress I made for New Year's Eve.

(Don't laugh too loudly at my photos -
it isn't easy taking self photos -
set the timer and run in front of the camera.)

Both dresses are made from this pattern...

Thank you all for the sweet comments you left for me
during my holiday break.
I will be getting around to visit each of you as soon as I can.
♥Hope

    1. Hello Enid,

I bought several vintage patterns during December. I wanted to inspire myself to keep on track with my diet during the holidays. There are so many beautiful vintage patterns on Etsy. That is my favorite place to shop for patterns.

      Happy New Year to you!

  5. I love the new clothes you've sewn! I'd love to have a skirt like that. I've got a few—well a lot of pounds to lose before it would fit or look good on me! I hope this is the year!

Happy new year Hope. I'm enjoying getting to know you. I do hope this is your very best year yet. I shall pray for you as soon as I hit publish. God is yet good.

*PS* Thank you deeply for the immensely pretty Christmas card, which arrived a couple of days ago. I am so touched that you sent one our way and even more so by the heartwarmingly lovely words that you wrote inside of it. ♥
